With all of this downtime in the mornings before class (since it's the first week and all and I'm still trying to get the hang of the whole school deal), I've been playing with logos on Photoshop and came up with these two that I really like. Not sure if I like it better with the dog head or without. And, just a fun fact, the lab head is actually Riley's silhouette! Pretty cool :)

These first two are just my name...but with different fonts. I'm much more fond of the first one, which is one that I just designed this morning. The second is one that I designed a few months ago and am not that excited about anymore.

These next two are with Riley's silhouette. I think it looks awesome on the picture of Archie, however on the picture of Landon, I really prefer the name only logo without the graphic...which is the first in the post.

South Carolina with Landon and Dustin

I got home last Thursday from spending four days in South Carolina with my wonderful boyfriend and his amazing son Landon. We had such a good time on the river, fishing at his uncles farm, and at Edisto Beach where we spent a few days. I miss them TONS, but I think these pictures are pretty priceless and show how much love they have for one another. :)

U.S. Concrete On-Site, Inc.

A few weeks ago I spent some time in New Orleans with Dustin and was able to get some time out on the job. It worked out well, since I decided to do a really big project for my Journalism/New Media class on him and this way I could really get some honest shots of him in action. It was really fun seeing what they do out there and how everything comes together. Unfortunately I took the wrong lens by this was all with the 50mm portrait lens rather than the 18-135 zoom which would have been much more ideal for this situation. It was a challenge but I made it work. Here are some of the better pictures of my guy hard at work :)

For anyone interested, here is the final project I ended up with:

Spring is here!

Because of the last few weeks of school (presentations, projects, papers, and exams), I've hardly had any time lately to play with the camera. I was home for a few extra days this weekend and was feeling accomplished after getting a great deal of school-work done, so I picked up the camera and felt so refreshed from my few weeks away from it and just the whole vibe of spring...the fresh air and colors are so beautiful this time of year. :)

I played with the boys a little bit, using the 18-135 Nikkor and the 50mm...still trying to get a hang of the 50 but I thought these were fun and colorful. Enjoy!
